How it works

Getting fresh, local veg from Lyde Acres is simple.

We offer two box sizes to suit different households.

Our Harvest Share is £10 and includes at least five portions of freshly picked, seasonal veg. If you’re cooking for more people or just love your veg, the Bumper Harvest Share is £20 and includes at least ten portions.

Boxes are available for local delivery for just £1.50, or you can choose to collect for free from our farm in Stowey. Deliveries go out on Mondays, so you can start your week with a fridge full of the good stuff.

Each week, we’ll also share simple recipe ideas to help you make the most of what’s in your box – whether it’s a new way to use broad beans or a fresh take on your favourite greens.

All our vegetables are grown using no-dig methods and without any pesticides, herbicides, or artificial fertilisers. Just healthy, chemical-free food grown with care for the soil and the planet.

Our box scheme runs from June through to October, following the natural rhythm of the growing season. If you ever need to skip a week, that’s no problem – just give us a week's notice and we’ll pause your box.

We’re also excited to be adding free-range eggs to the mix very soon. You’ll be able to add them to your weekly box, making it even easier to get fresh, ethical food all in one place.

We’re here to make fresh, local veg easy and accessible – and we’d love for you to join us.

In June, you can expect a fresh mix of early summer produce to start the season off right. Think crisp lettuce, tender broad beans, sweet radishes, colourful beetroot, new potatoes, spring onions, and the first of the season’s strawberries. We’ll also be harvesting plenty of herbs like parsley, chives, basil, and mint to add flavour to your meals. It’s a great time of year for light, fresh dishes and getting creative in the kitchen.

August

August brings a real abundance from the garden, with boxes full of colour and flavour. You can look forward to sweetcorn, tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers, French beans, beetroot, and carrots, along with leafy greens like kale and chard. Herbs are still going strong, and we often have extras like chillies or patty pan squash making an appearance. It’s a great month for big summer salads, BBQ sides, and simple, fresh meals packed with homegrown goodness.

September

September is one of the most abundant months in the garden – a true celebration of the late summer harvest and the first signs of autumn. Your box will be full to the brim with a mix of both seasons: think juicy tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers, and beans, alongside heartier crops like carrots, beetroot, chard, and kale. You might also see the first leeks, squash, or turnips making an appearance as we move into cooler days. It’s a generous, colourful time of year – perfect for big batch cooking, preserving, or just enjoying the full variety of the harvest season.
